Workout
A friend and I have decided to start bicycle riding to help us do a workout. Along with power walking, bicycling is a great way to exercise. The workout has brought us closer as friends and inspired us to make healthier changes and choices in other areas of our lives. Not to mention the added benefit of losing weight and maintaining attractive figures.
Being able to participate in a workout is something I do not take lightly. Three years ago I had a stroke but I did not let it get me down. I persevered and took on a physically demanding job and got back into exercise. When people hear today that I had a stroke, they find it hard to believe given the type of physically adept person I am.
I enjoy getting a workout as often as possible. I like walking, power walking, soccer, softball, bowling and bicycling. My friend has back problems and she enjoys getting out and walking and riding bicycles with me. Together we encourage each other and the workout helps us to remain strong and healthy for ourselves, our families and our future. I have enjoyed it so much that I have even started playing racquetball. I think they should change the slogan to “a workout a day keeps the doctor away...and the weight”.
