workout, fitness equipmentI love to walk!  It has become my exercise of choice the last several months.  It takes no special fitness equipment or supplies.  A good pair of walking shoes is all I need.  I live on a road that dead-ends, so it's a nice place to walk because there's no through traffic.  I'm out in the country, so the walking is superb.  Sometimes I drive to a local park that has a pond with a track around it, so I take my walking workouts there.  I don't walk specifically for weight loss, but to get in shape and tone up.  Walking is not only good for my body, but for my soul.  I feel refreshed both mind and body.  It invigorates me but doesn't totally wear me out like other workouts tend to do.  My husband started walking with me not long after I began, so it's a great time for us to spend together and talk while we walk.  I just love my walking workouts, the time outside and the stress relief that I feel afterward.
