Workout
My friend and I were talking while volunteering together at church the other day and we decided we could use a workout. Now we work a food program to help those in need and the lifting of the heavy boxes and moving tables in and out two days a week does give us a bit of a workout but we still wanted something more so we decided to try racquetball. We had both played in our younger days and were excited about getting back into it.
People can sometimes assume that the older you get the less likely you can do things. But I know gentlemen in their late sixties who can do more work than a guy half their age. I know women my age who enjoy racquetball and softball and here I am in my mid-forties and I still play frontyard football with my family.
Age is a number and we all get there eventually if we have been lucky enough to live that long but it does not mean we have to stop at 30 or 40 or 50 or 60. A workout can be good for everyone; perhaps at different levels depending on what a body has been through. Still, there is nothing that makes a person feel more energetic and better than a good workout and seeing the evidence of it in how it makes one feel and the compliments from family and friends.
