workout, weight lossPeople have various attitudes to weight loss and I believe the way that I think about issues like weight and beauty health is quite healthy. Actually weight loss is not on my agenda at the moment because my BMI is under 25 and therefore within the healthy range. However I prefer to keep a good muscle to body fat ratio and I want to make sure my cardiovascular system remains healthy. What’s more I do not want to gain weight.
I do a cardio and resistance workout at least three times per week. I swim, hike and use various items of exercise equipment I have at home such as a stepper machine, a Pilates ball, dumbbells and weights which I attach to my ankles. I also do many exercises in which I use my own body weight as resistance. My workout routine keeps my body fat down and my muscles toned.
In addition to regular workouts I also try to eat sensibly. I don’t deprive myself of any food group. I simply cook healthy nutritionally balanced meals from home with unprocessed ingredients. I also stop eating before I am stuffed. I still allow myself an occasional treat because I’ve found that completely denying myself anything naughty makes me crave for it more.
I sincerely believe that my diet and workout routine keep me in shape so that weight loss is not an issue. I think that the vitamins supplements I take help too because they boost my metabolic rate and provide me with lots of energy. I am not a skinny woman; in fact I know that I am curvaceous. What’s more I have no desire to be skinny. My body is not perfect but I am happy with what I see when I look in the mirror.
