3-Fit Deluxe 5-Funtion Pedometer
Like millions of Americans in the 21st century workplace, moving around is getting harder and harder to do will clocking in the hours. The 6+ hours a day I work on the computer during the week are not exactly active. There are plenty of jobs out there where you got to move around but I don’t have one. Being that I have started work more. It has been harder and harder to stay on the move and I have been seeing exactly what that can mean. The stomach starts loosening up, chest muscles aren’t as tight and nothing looks as good. I have been searching the web for fitness equipment to keep me motivated on staying active when not working.
I heard a story from my friend who works at a restaurant about one of their bartenders that brings a little step counter to work so he knows exactly when he hits his daily goal of 10,000 steps. I guess he nails around 6,000 of those steps during work. The rest is completed with a jogging workout. I thought this was a really great weight loss idea. So I have been searching the web for affordable pedometers.
The best deal I found was within a fitness equipment store called Online Superstore at http://www.healthytudes.com/. They have something called the 3-Fit Deluxe 5-Function Pedometer for a very affordable price. Seen in the picture above, this one is more than a simple step counter. Here is how the fitness equipment Online Superstore product description explains it:
An advanced electronic pedometer that provides five different fitness measurements- Distance, Calories, Steps, Time, Speed. Additional features include- Auto Filter Sensor, Auto Reset Auto Power On-Off, Delayed Reset Button and Yardage Meter for Short Distance. It is way easier for me to set and accomplish a goal when I can track results. With this pedometer, I would be able to keep a journal of how far I ran each time out. This would be really helpful in tracking progress. At the moment, I head out and follow a similar neighborhood route. Even though I get a good idea at how far I am going compared to the day before it is no exact science. A pedometer would track it to the step. That is a powerful tool is you ask me. While looking at the Online Superstore fitness equipment some really great looking vitamins supplements popped up too. I have been finding out just how important the diet is to staying in shape. Before I never cared as long as I completed a few workouts per week but now my metabolism has slowed and what flies down the hatch into the belly really matters.
