I have decided to try to get in shape again. I'm not extremely big or anything, just curvier than I once was. I have been unable to do a lot of workout routines because of herniated discs and stuff in my back and neck. I started walking as a way of getting into shape. Walking is a low-impact workout that doesn't need a lot of fitness equipment to do it. Unlike lifting weights and riding bikes, walking requires to real fitness equipment to buy. It's a cheap way to get into shape.
It doesn't usually hurt my back to walk, so it's perfect for me. I find it a great way to destress and relax, too. I walk up and down my dead-end road, where there's hardly any traffic. We have a lovely tree-lined street with beautiful views, so it's fun to walk it. Sometimes I even drive to a local park where they have walking trails to walk on. There are rivers and springs along the route and it's really a lovely area to walk. Now that I've been walking, I decided that getting a pedometer would be a good idea. I don't need fitness equipment like a pedometer to walk, but I need one to keep track of how much walking I do.
I was shopping online for a pedometer and found this company called Zuppa's Store. They have a website that can be found at www.healthytudes.com. This fitness equipment pedometer, the Electronic Step Distance Pedometer, is a great price, so I can't pass it up. The company says "This pedometer will give you all the information you need to monitoreffective physical activity: how many steps, how much distance and howmany calories burned. The unique flip case design makes your exercise information both easy to read and confidentially yours." Those are such great features, I love the flip top on the LCD screen so I can close it when I'm done and no one can see it but me.
I love that walking requires no fitness equipment. But I do like that I can buy fitness equipment like this pedometer to keep track of my distance and calories. It's a great idea for getting in shape and keeping it. My brother loves walking too, and walks at least eight miles a day, so I might have to buy one of these pedometers for him too. It's great that I can shop online for walking fitness equipment, which saves me time and money.
