The Trick or Treating Workout |

On the surface Halloween doesn’t seem like it could be a workout but for parents of little kids and the little trick or treaters themselves there is some serious ground covered on October 31st. When I was young, the workout portion of walking from house to house was the last thing on my mind. It was all about satisfying that candy fix. Eating all that candy will negate any weight loss but breaking a sweat is definitely possible when out on Halloween.
When I was old enough to go out by myself with friends on Halloween, we really traveled far from sun down to about 11:00 at night. The opportunity to score free candy is enough to make any young teenager foam at the mouth. It wasn’t all about the candy though at this point. Some of it was about the tricks. Running around at night in costume is a workout especially when trying to scare other trick or treaters. Like any rambunctious little teens Halloween was just as much about candy as it was getting as many scares as possible. Even getting scared is a workout. Halloween is much healthier then people think.
