I've found that because I can't afford to go to a gym to workout, I can get a really good workout at home by way of one or two videos. I love the bellydance videos by the belly twins; they're a great and effective low impact workout, easily something that can be done in the comfort of my home without any extra equipment. Plus I love how easy it is to get back into the workout when I've slacked off and don't do my bellydancing for weeks, if not months.

I was doing my bellydancing workout in my bedroom but recently moved the workout to our finished basement. I’ve found that the basement is a much better place to workout. It's cool in the summer and with the wall unit space heaters, will be as toasty as I want in winter. Not to mention the added comfort from the double padding we had put down when we recently had new carpet put in. So since bellydancing is done barefoot, that extra padding helps when you’re dancing around barefoot. Not to mention all the open space in the basement, much more than my bedroom. Allowing me to freely move around, to get a better workout than in my bedroom.

Still with the vast amount of workout videos easily available out there, all of which can be found online, they make working out as simple as popping in a movie into the DVD player.
