weight loss, workout

There is nothing new about the weight loss and exercise connection. As a Fitness Instructor I know for sure that in order to maintain a specific body weight movement is essential. And if weight loss is your goal that movement must increase or become something different from that which your body is accustomed to.

When I create a workout I look at all elements from the warm up, to the cardio, muscle conditioning, core stabilization movement, the cool down and finally stretching. All of those factors play a role in total fitness and weight loss. I have found that weight loss does not necessarily mean a fitter body. I know thin people who are out of shape. Fitness has to do with the health of your heart and the amount of extra weight on the body. The more load the heart has to work with the harder it is for it to pump blood throughout the body.

I like to see beginners come to my workouts a minimum of two times a week. Once that becomes a habit and the classes are easier I suggest they try three classes. From my own experience, eventually you want to come more, the weight loss is very evident and the routine of working out is a daily event.
