Weight Loss Starts in the Morning |

Parenting 101 includes teaching kids the importance of breakfast before starting the day. All the way up until I left home for college, my mom took it upon herself to have at least breakfast supplies and a glass of juice sitting on the counter for my brother and me before heading off to school. She worked on a similar schedule as us so when we left to school she too had to leave to work. Back then, I consistently ate breakfast in the morning. As I got older and moved out on my own slowly but surely my first meal of the day came later and later. Whether it was waking up with just enough time to get dressed and run down to class in college or rolling out of bed with just enough time to shower and dress up before heading out to the office, my morning meals were lost in the shuffle.
For years, this was no big deal because my metabolism almost made it impossible for me to gain weight. Right now, I weigh 195 pounds. Then I couldn’t get over 180 pounds if I ate lard at 2 in the morning every single day. Fitness equipment has always stayed in the picture. Right now, I’m focused on weight loss. My goal is to tighten up and keep off 5 pounds. Sounds easy but it is harder then expected.
Recently my friend reminded me to eat right after waking up to jump-start the metabolism. He’s in great shape partly because of vitamins supplements but also consistent workouts. He told me to try to eat smaller portions throughout the day to keep the body burning calories. This makes sense to me. I have since visited Healthy Tudes at http://www.healthytudes.com/ for food and drink ideas to start the day off right. I really like the Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, 24oz shown in the picture above. It is extremely potent and perfect to mix into a glass of apple or orange juice. It only takes a couple of tablespoons of the concentrate for the essential vitamins and nutrients. I like vitamins supplements in drink form because they are quick and easy, which is important when in a morning rush.
I’ve been setting my alarm 15 minutes earlier then usual to have more time to eat before working. I’m not as groggy in the morning and have been able to drop a couple pounds without it coming back. The weight loss routine increased my energy, which works great for time on fitness equipment.
